Melinda Opperman
practical experience
Melinda Opperman is an Associate at ENS in the Banking Finance practice.
Melinda specialises in general banking and finance with a key focus on infrastructure- and real-estate finance, trade finance, debt restructuring and acquisition finance, both in South Africa and across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Her practical experience includes advising commercial banks and development finance institutions on various cross-border financing transactions and domestic funding transactions. She also has experience in advising borrowers including South African state owned companies on various debt and hybrid debt-equity transactions.
In addition, Melinda regularly acts as local counsel in South Africa for foreign financial institutions on cross-border transactions.
