Melissa Sonickson

Melissa Sonickson is an Associate at ENS in the Employment practice.
Melissa specialises in advising clients on issues related to employment law including their obligations in terms of all employment legislation (including the Labour Relations Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Employment Equity Act) and on all employment law related issues such as dismissals, unfair labour practices, unfair discrimination and changes to terms and conditions of employment.
Melissa’s experience includes litigating in the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration and the Labour Court in unfair dismissal disputes, unfair labour practice claims and unfair discrimination claims.
In addition, Melissa is also experienced in successfully litigating condonation applications in the Labour Court and has advised clients in the catering, clothing and metal industries on labour related disputes.
