Elzaan Botha is an Associate at ENS in the Mine and Occupational Health & Safety practice.
Elzaan specializes in Mine Occupational Health and Safety law. Her experience includes assisting on matters related to the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 ("MHSA"), which encompasses a variety of issues. These include providing advice pertaining to section 54 and 55 Notices issued in terms of the MHSA, offering guidance after accidents or injuries at operations, attending fatal investigations and inquiries held in terms of the MHSA, advising on appointment structures and appointment letters, giving counsel on the Compensation for Injuries and Diseases Act 130 of 1993 (“COIDA”), and offering general mine health and safety advice.
In addition, Elzaan is also experienced in assisting with matters relating to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 ("OHASA"), which includes a range of services. These services encompass providing advice pertaining to the applicable sections and regulations of OHASA, offering guidance on operational compliance as per OHASA and its regulations, advising on appointment structures and appointment letters, and providing general occupational health and safety advice.
