Janine Thomas
practical experience
Janine Thomas is an Executive at ENS in the Intellectual Property practice where she specialises in Commercial IP. Her focus areas include providing strategic advice, drafting and negotiating, in respect of all IP agreements, as well as advising on commercial agreements/ transactions that have IP implications.
Janine has extensive and a broad range of experience in IP, both locally and internationally. She has spent a number of years practising in IP firms and has also spent a considerable number of years managing the global intellectual property portfolio of one of the largest financial services corporates in Africa. Janine has provided strategic and commercially focussed advice to clients and to business stakeholders (in her capacity as an in-house attorney) on all aspects relating to the protection, enforcement, maintenance and exploitation of IP rights. She also has experience in relation to matter before the Advertising Regulatory Board.
Janine is a fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law.
