Her practice involves structuring and negotiating technology-related transactions, including licensing, outsourcing, software-as-a-service, and cloud computing agreements. She has acted as lead Associate on large-scale IT infrastructure and digital transformation projects, ensuring contractual clarity, regulatory compliance, and commercial viability.
In the data protection and privacy space, Shaaista regularly conducts regulatory compliance audits and privacy gap assessments under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act. She provides strategic advice on cross-border data transfers, information security protocols, data governance frameworks, and policy implementation.
