Siphosetu Matebese is an Associate in ENSafrica's Banking and Finance practice.
Siphosetu specialises in debt finance and related security structures, transactional funding, debt funding and preference share funding. She also provides regulatory advice in relation to the financial services sector and does transactional and regulatory work for clients such as retirement funds, banks and insurers.
Her experience includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and implementing agreements, advising on financial services legislation (including but not limited to FAIS, FMA, Banks Act, Pension Funds Act, FSRA and CISCA), advising local and international clients in local and cross-border funding transactions, advising local clients on the finance aspects of several high profile litigious matters of national significance.
In addition, Siphosetu is also experienced in financial services regulation, pension funds, insurance, lending transactions, providing regulatory opinion work relating to various banking and finance transactions and has worked in transactions involving advising clients in the public and private retirement funds sector, listed and unlisted corporate clients and major South African Banks.
