Jeremy de Beer


practical experience
Jeremy de Beer is an Associate in ENSafrica’s intellectual property practice. Jeremy specialises in trade mark litigation, copyright, passing off, company name objections and domain name complaints. His experience includes advising local and international clients on trade mark and copyright infringement matters and protecting clients’ intellectual property. In addition, Jeremy is also experienced in competition law, having spent the majority of his articles in ENSafrica’s competition practice before making the move to the intellectual property practice. His competition law experience includes advising on prohibited practices and abuses of dominance and drafting merger filings. Jeremy was also seconded to the Solidarity Response Fund NPC for six months in 2021, during which time he assisted the Fund in its mandate of providing disaster relief for the Covid-19 pandemic by providing contract management services, including drafting and advising on numerous commercial contracts, including the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines and the establishment of vaccination sites. Jeremy is currently studying to be a member of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL). |
