Siphile Hlwatika is an Associate in ENSafrica’s employment department. He specialises in Employment Law.
Siphile has acted for clients in a variety of industries in the public and private sectors, including the agricultural, automotive manufacturing, aerospace and defence manufacturing, aviation, fast-moving consumer goods, energy, engineering, construction, financial services, mining, healthcare, retail and telecommunications industries.
Siphile’s experience includes advising clients on various employment law-related issues such as employment equity, unfair discrimination, unfair labour practice disputes, unfair dismissal disputes, transfers of employment in terms of section 197 and pension-related issues. He also has experience in advising clients on issues related to organisational rights, collective bargaining and industrial action.
His experience also extends to assisting clients in disciplinary proceedings and employment-related litigation in the Commission, for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (“CCMA”), various bargaining councils and the Labour Courts.
