Dennis Gathara

Dennis Gathara is a Senior Associate at ENS Kenya in the intellectual property practice, specialising in data protection, technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), fintech, corporate law, employment, and immigration. He advises clients across diverse sectors including banking, fintech, and TMT.
Dennis provides strategic legal counsel on regulatory compliance, brand protection, data privacy, employment law, fintech regulation, and intellectual property rights. He regularly supports business setup processes, offering guidance on entity registration, legal structuring, and compliance with Kenyan regulatory frameworks.
His experience includes drafting legal opinions, handling intellectual property prosecution, conducting legal due diligence, and managing regulatory applications. He represents clients before key regulatory bodies such as the Central Bank of Kenya, the Kenya Industrial Property Institute, the Anti-Counterfeit Authority, and the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
