Suemeya Hanif is an Executive at ENS in the Employment practice.
As an Executive at ENS, she advises and represents both local and international clients on a broad spectrum of employment disputes, including matters related to unfair dismissals, unfair labour practice, collective bargaining, mutual interests, and unfair discrimination.
Her expertise includes drafting and arguing complex applications such as reviews, rescissions, condonation, urgent matters, and interlocutory applications. Suemeya has represented clients in the CCMA, various Bargaining Councils, and the Labour Court, demonstrating a robust litigation background.
In addition to her dispute resolution expertise, Suemeya provides strategic counsel on workplace restructuring, employment law considerations in mergers and acquisitions, and conducting due diligence exercises. She is also well-versed in the regulatory landscape of POPIA and regularly assists clients with compliance and data protection matters. Her knowledge of employment equity further underscores her comprehensive skill set in navigating South Africa’s evolving legal framework.
Beyond her advisory and litigation roles, she has presented at numerous seminars, workshops, and training courses, sharing her insights with clients and industry professionals.
