Stephen von Schirnding

Stephen von Schirnding is an Executive at ENS in the Banking and Finance practice.
He specialises in debt capital markets (including securitisation), general debt finance, private equity, as well as banking and securities law.
Stephen has acted for most of the major South African and international banks and financial institutions, state owned companies, the National Treasury and listed and unlisted corporates, both on and offshore.
Stephen’s experience of over 30 years includes advising on various high profile (listed and unlisted, on and offshore) DMTN programmes, securitisations, asset-backed note structures, repackaging note programmes, debenture funding transactions and various other diverse structured finance transactions, distressed debt restructuring and creditor work-out transactions, sustainability-linked funding, syndicated and bilateral loan funding transactions and private equity transactions.
