practical experience
Scott Salusbury is a Senior Associate at ENS in the Tax practice. He advises multinationals on transfer pricing and related tax aspects of cross-border business operations in Africa.
Scott assists clients in developing appropriate transfer pricing models by focusing on understanding the unique risks and opportunities associated with their businesses. He has acted for clients in a wide variety of industries but has a special focus on the financial services industry, including banks, asset managers, non-bank lenders, fintech businesses and captive finance entities.
He is closely involved in the implementation, management and defence of clients’ structures and in preparing transfer pricing documentation in accordance with OECD standards and the standards of specific African jurisdictions. His experience includes undertaking benchmarking studies, developing financial models, valuing IP and other intangibles, putting in place intra-group legal agreements, and obtaining regulatory approvals, rulings and tax incentives.
Scott has experience in managing transfer pricing disputes in multiple African jurisdictions. He also focuses, however, on governance and risk management aspects of transfer pricing systems, with a view to pre-empting extended transfer pricing audits and reducing the cost of disputes.
