Samantha Bonato
practical experience
Samantha Bonato is a Senior Associate at ENS in the Employment practice.
She has acted for clients in a variety of industries including the mining, energy, telecommunications, banking and finance and transport industries.
Samantha’s experience includes advising clients on various individual and collective labour law matters, including on large-scale retrenchments, unfair and automatically unfair dismissal and unfair labour practice claims, strikes, restraints of trade, as well as drafting pleadings and heads of argument in launching and defending proceedings in the South African Labour Court, the Labour Appeal Court, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration and the Constitutional Court.
Samantha has also prepared and facilitated the running of arbitrations, trials and disciplinary hearings, and has acted as chairperson in a number of disciplinary hearings.
Her expertise further includes conducting corporate due diligence investigations.

- Admitted as an Attorney and Notary Public of the High Court of South Africa
