Pareen Rogers is an Executive at ENS in the Employment practice, advising public and private corporations on all types of employment law matters.

Pareen has represented clients across a wide spectrum of industries including financial services, media and broadcasting, mining, manufacturing, aviation and information technology. She specialises in employment law litigation and has significant experience in proceedings at the CCMA, Bargaining Council, and Labour Court. Pareen also has expertise in prosecuting professional misconduct cases for the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. She has also conducted several investigations for both local and multinational entities in relation to sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace and other related grievances.

Pareen regularly advises clients on retrenchments, (including large scale retrenchments), business transfers, benefits and remuneration matters, as well retirement fund issues, global mobility, and other employment-related aspects of commercial transactions. She conducts due diligence exercises and employment law compliance audits and advises foreign entities on South African labour law and employment equity. She also provides advice to Boards of Directors of companies (including listed entities), as well as Audit and Risk Committees on the role of registered auditors, reportable irregularities and related matters.

Pareen has also advised on labour law in African jurisdictions such as Kenya, Ghana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Mauritius, Botswana, Tanzania, and Nigeria.

Pareen has significant is experienced in employment equity, affirmative action, and workplace transformation matters. She regularly conducts training on employment issues and has written several articles on employment topics. Pareen also has extensive experience in advising clients on all aspects of employment equity and has a keen interest in this area of the law, particularly in relation to affirmative action and transformation issues within the workplace.
