Olwethu Gusha is a senior associate in ENSafrica’s Banking and Finance department. He specialises in debt finance, insurance, private equity funds, hedge funds, collective investment schemes and financial services law.
Olwethu has acted for local and international clients, including major South African corporate clients, banks, insurers, pension funds and other institutional investors.
His experience includes advising pension funds on investment into local and foreign private equity funds, representing listed corporate borrowers and lenders in term loan transactions, syndicated loans, preference share funding, structured trade financings and advising asset managers on the formation of South African hedge funds and their registration as collective investment schemes.
Olwethu’s experience further includes providing regulatory advice to local and international clients in relation to South African financial services legislation and the South African regulatory environment, particularly in relation to financial advisory and intermediary services, collective investment schemes, South African money-laundering legislation and company law.
