Nils Braatvedt is an associate in ENSafrica’s employment department.
He has acted for clients in a variety of industries, including the banking and finance, manufacturing, mining and civil engineering industries.
Nils’ experience includes advising clients in relation to disciplinary inquiries, dismissals for operational requirements and grievance processes, as well as employment matters including section 197 transfers, atypical forms of employment, data and personal information processing and employment benefits.
He has also been involved in matters related to disputes regarding collective bargaining, the interpretation of collective agreements, unfair labour practices and unfair dismissals. Nils has also advised clients on South African Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court litigation, including review applications, urgent strike interdicts, contempt of court applications and enforcing restraint of trade clauses.
Nils’ expertise extends to drafting employment agreements and reviewing HR policies and procedures to comply with South African labour law best practice standards.
