Leonard Bilchitz is an Executive at ENS in the Corporate Commercial practice. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, equity capital markets, corporate reorganisations and restructurings as well as general commercial law.

Leonard has assisted both listed and unlisted clients in various matters and as well as various offshore clients wishing to invest in the South African market.

Leonard has deep expertise in all aspects of private equity, including the structuring and establishment of private equity funds, legal due diligence in anticipation of acquisitions by PE funds of portfolio companies, portfolio and investment structuring, regulatory approvals, recapitalisations following on altered investment horizons or other changed circumstances and the disposal of portfolio companies. 

Leonard’s experience includes negotiating, advising and structuring a range of commercial transactions, including asset and share acquisitions and disposals, share subscriptions, shareholder relationships, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations. He has also assisted various clients in relation to due diligence investigations.
