Kirsty Simpson is an executive in the dispute resolution department at ENSafrica.
Kirsty is a specialist in all aspects of commercial litigation and alternate dispute resolution (including expert determination, mediation and both domestic and international arbitration). She provides practical advice and strategic insight into litigious or potentially litigious matters, with a view to effective management and resolution, or avoidance, of disputes.
Kirsty has extensive experience in matters relating to contracts, delict, unjustified enrichment, shareholder disputes, director disputes, franchising, consumer law, banking and procurement. She also has experience in all aspects of administrative law, constitutional litigation, housing, regulatory, municipal and government matters.
Over the years, Kirsty has represented numerous listed and unlisted national, foreign and multi-national clients in, inter alia, the mining, construction and engineering, logistics, services, food and beverages, property, banking and public sectors. She has acted in various courts and arbitral forums nationally and internationally, including in the International Chamber of Commerce and the Belgian Centre for Mediation and Arbitration (CEPANI).
Kirsty read for her Master’s degree in judicial review in the alternative dispute resolution and labour contexts. Kirsty is registered as an arbitrator with the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) and is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
