Johan Loubser is an Executive at ENS in the Banking and Finance practice. He has extensive experience advising on registered and unregistered investment funds; investment mandates; financial services and insurance regulation; and South African and cross-border finance transactions.  

Johan has deep expertise in fund formation and regulatory advisory work for private equity and venture capital funds.

Representative recent matters in his practice include:

• advising on private equity, property, infrastructure and debt funds;
• advising on investment mandates and related services;
• advising on regulatory and registration issues affecting asset and wealth managers, brokers, insurers, pension funds, collective investment schemes, hedge funds, custodians and fintech firms;
• representing borrowers and lenders in debt transactions;
• representing issuers and subscribers in preference share funding transactions;
• advising pension funds on prudential investment limits and outsourcing transactions to insurers;
• advising insurers on regulatory matters and the transfer of insurance business.
