Jens Brodbeck is an Executive at ENS in the tax practice. He heads up ENS’ transfer pricing team, which has consistently been ranked as a tier 1 practice in terms of the ITR World Tax rankings.

Jens has been involved in transfer pricing since the introduction of the South African transfer pricing rules in 1995, assisting South African and international MNEs with their transfer pricing needs across Africa. He has substantial experience in all areas of transfer pricing, including advisory, documentation, as well as transfer pricing risk management and dispute resolution. In particular, Jens has been involved in numerous transfer pricing disputes and assisted his clients with negotiating a number of favorable settlements.

His client base includes some of South Africa’s biggest companies as well as a number of global brands in a diverse range of industries, such as financial services, where he advices some of South Africa’s biggest banks and asset managers, but also a number of start-ups in the Fintech sphere, automotive, logistics and transport, gaming, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. He also regularly advises on the South African tax, transfer pricing and exchange control consequences of cross-border transactions involving intangibles.

Jens is a member of the transfer pricing sub-committees at both SAICA and SAIT. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Taxand, the world’s largest independent organization of tax experts with member firms in more than 50 countries.
