Jan Viviers
practical experience
Jan Viviers is an Executive at ENS in the Corporate Commercial practice. He specialises in M&A, corporate restructuring, financial services, financial markets and securities law, corporate crisis management, corporate finance and equity capital markets. He has extensive experience in cross border transactions and has acted for various large corporate institutions (listed and unlisted), local and international investment funds, insurance companies and asset management companies. Jan also has extensive experience in the field of agribusiness.
Jan has acted as lead advisor in some of the largest corporate transactions in South Africa, most recently a transaction in the liquor industry with a transaction value of R65bn, the collapse of a listed company’s multi-tiered ownership structure (the aforesaid two transactions were both nominated for Deal of the Year by Dealmakers), various other large acquisitions, matters relating to the Takeover Regulation Panel and the Listing Requirements of the JSE, as well as the structuring and restructuring of local and international private equity and venture capital funds.
