Esti Brand is an Executive at ENSafrica in the Dispute Resolution practice. She specialises in general litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters, with a particular focus on contractual and administrative law and statutory interpretation. She also has expertise in town planning matters.
Esti has assisted numerous clients in successfully applying to court to challenge administrative decisions, such as the awarding of tenders and licences by municipalities, municipal entities, government departments, gambling boards and other statutory decision-makers. Esti has also assisted clients in opposing various applications, including applications for gambling licences and liquor licences. She has also advised decision-makers on the legality of administrative decisions taken by them. She also regularly assists clients in accessing information from public and private bodies by way of access to information legislation and advising clients on their disclosure obligations in terms of the access to information legislation.
She has acted for clients from various sectors such as gambling, liquor, civil engineering, franchising, property and pre-paid electricity vending.
Esti has been appointed, and regularly acts, as Small Claims Court Commissioner at the Mitchells Plain Small Claims Court.
