Dieudonné Nzafashwanayo

Dieudonné Nzafashwanayo is an Executive at ENS in Rwanda.
He specializes in various sectors of law including tax, employment, general corporate commercial, contract, real estate and secured transactions, anti-trust and consumer protection, banking and finance, and general commercial and tax dispute resolutions.
He is recognised by the market for his tax capability and regularly advises clients of the firm on various international and domestic tax law matters including transfer pricing, M&A and corporate restructuring tax considerations, tax treatment of compensation/benefits, special arrangements/incentives with governments, indirect taxes, cross-border project/transactions tax structuring, application of double taxation avoidance agreements and tax controversy.
Dieudonné’ s experience also includes assisting corporate borrowers in syndicated and other types of financing transactions, and lenders including development finance institutions (DFIs), multilateral lenders (MDBs) and local and foreign commercial banks on traditional lending and multimillion dollar project finance transactions. He has also worked on various M&A transactions involving private equity funds, sovereign investment funds and listed companies in infrastructure projects, energy, air transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, telecommunication, ICT, insurance and banking sector.
He equally regularly assists clients and issues legal opinions on IPP projects (hydro, PV and HFO), Rwandan entry modes and business structuring, corporate governance and shareholder arrangements, Rwandan Companies Act, financial services regulations, consumer protection, ICT, employment and immigration matters.
He features in international and local newspapers and regularly speaks on tax, banking, corporate and employment law matters.
Dieudonné is a member of the Tax Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accounts in Rwanda (ICPAR).
