Arabella Bennett is an Executive Consultant in ENSafrica’s banking and finance practice. She specialises in transactional and regulatory work for institutional clients such as retirement funds, collective investment schemes, banks, insurers, reinsurers and asset managers. She also provides transactional and opinion-related advice to local and cross-border structured debt and hybrid debt transactions for South African and foreign corporates and funds. Arabella has deep expertise in negotiating and concluding private equity and venture capital transactions and providing clients with the related advisory (opinion) work associated with such transactions. She has acted for South African public and private sector retirement funds, national and international banks, insurers (including captives), re-insurers, corporates and South African and international fund managers. Arabella’s experience includes advising public sector and private retirement funds on a range of liability-driven investments, pooled investment structures (including limited liability partnerships, trusts and collective investment schemes), liability outsourcings and regulatory matters. She has also structured and implemented numerous securitised debt and derivative transactions. |
She has experience in advising retailers on offerings regulated in the e-banking and insurance sectors, advising on ratings, cross border preference share transactions and has advised public sector institutional investors on local and offshore private equity, debenture and linked policy investments. She has extensive experience in regulatory opinion work pertaining to wide ranging aspects of the financial services sector.
