Hugo Biermann joins ENSafrica's IP team

ENSafrica is delighted to welcome Hugo Biermann, who joins ENSafrica's growing IP department as a senior associate. Hugo is a qualified patent attorney and joins the firm from Adams and Adams. Hugo has an industrial engineering degree from Stellenbosch University (cum laude) and his technical fields include telecommunications, computer-implemented technologies, financial systems, and mechanical and electronic devices.

ENSafrica has for some time been searching for the right patent attorney to join the team in our Johannesburg office. Hugo will work seamlessly with Rowan Forster and Dr Joanne van Harmelen who practise from the Durban and Cape Town offices, respectively. Hugo’s primary focus will be the prosecution of patent and design matters but his interest in valuation of IP and other commercial IP matters will mean that he will have regular interaction with the recently expanded commercial IP team, headed by Waldo Steyn.
