Farai Razano is a senior associate at ENSafrica’s sports law unit and specialises in employment law and dispute resolution in the sports sector.
He has acted for major football clubs and individuals before various tribunals in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), the South African Football Association (SAFA), the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) and the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) on issues including: disciplinary matters, the local and international transfer of footballers, disputes between clubs, employment disputes between clubs and their employees such as dismissals, retrenchments and unfair labour practices. He has also assisted as a committee member of the SAFA National Disciplinary Committee on a pro bono basis, dealing with matters relating to misconduct by football clubs and footballers, coaches and other club officials.
Farai’s experience further includes environmental and immigration law, where he has advised major football clubs and other companies on various immigration matters, including applying for temporary and permanent residence permits.
He has written various articles that have been published in various publications and has presented training workshops and seminars for various clients on sport law and immigration law.
