Many companies believe that maintaining only a paper based anti-bribery compliance policy and compliance programme is sufficient to satisfy regulators.

More often than not these paper based policies have not been communicated throughout the organisation and staff are unaware of their anti-bribery compliance obligations.

In order for an anti-bribery compliance programme to be effective it is critical that it is communicated to all employees and that they know and understand their company's policies and procedures and that there are substantial personal and corporate sanctions for non-compliance.
